Archaeologists recently found a mummy in China dating back to the Ming Dynasty(about 700 years). It's completely amazing how well this body is preserved; the woman mummy still has skin, hair and eyebrows. The article didn't touch on how old she was, or the cause of death but does say that she was high ranking.
Interestingly enough, one article says that it was likely an accident that she was so well preserved. The coffin was flooded with water, preventing bacteria from breaking down the body.
pretty. freaking. amazing.

Tchaikovsky
it's pretty interesting how freaking soul crushingly amazing Tchaikovsky makes me feel. FYI, soul crushing is good in this circumstance. I've never heard a piece by him that doesn't make my heart flutter and make me wish I were a ballerina or in an orchestra. Damn my inability to commit to anything as a child, oh well.
here are some of my favorites, listen and love.
Marche Slave was written as an orchestral piece for the benefit of wounded Serbian veterans.
Swan Lake, we all know, but have you listened to it lately? It's kind of earth shattering.

turtles are assholes. and interesting.
yeah, you might think turtles aren't interesting, but you're wrong. yup.
did you know that alligator snapping turtles, aside from looking like dinosaurs have the second strongest jaw of any animal? So when they try to bite your face off, it will hurt. a lot.
Also, their sex is determined by incubation temperature. The warmer it is, the more likely it will be a female, and under a certain temperature, it will be a male. Pretty sweet right?
check out this asshole turtle trying to bite off its owners finger:
this guy isn't mean, but its pretty funny to watch him struggle to eat a cherry tomato.
he gets help in the end, so we don't have to feel so bad.

things I don't know how to make are interesting.
there are many things that I have no idea how to do. like make an awesome interactive web page that looks like magical and fancy.
I have no idea what the opening paragraph says, but if you click on the paragraph and wait for it to load, a play button appears. Theres a wonderful black ink line that will follow your mouse wherever you go.
I tried to write words, but I'm slow.
When you get to the end you can also replay what you created! It's fantastic! It's interesting!
Yay internet!

stupid people are sometimes interesting.
SO.
Two robbers recently broke into a prison. Maybe they want to help a buddy get out? Maybe they really like cement. Nope.
They broke in to steal a flat screen TV. They set an office curtain on fire for a distraction, went in and grabbed a TV. If it were me I'd steal the toilet.
Although its easy to call these two gentlemen stupid, they got away with it.
Its hard to imagine someone actually not getting caught in this situation, but these genius thieves pulled it off, at least for now.
I really do have to wonder though, what made them think that breaking into a prison and stealing a TV was easier than setting an electronics store on fire and stealing one from there. Then you don't have to worry about what creepy things might be lingering on your prison television. -eweeee-

this is asia-tastic
Rice Paddy Art is something really amazing.
Artists grow crops using different colors of rice in a field to create an enormous design.
I love rice, and pictures, and things that were created in Asia, so I'm drooling all over these rice fields (yup, enjoy your dinner, I drooled in it.)
anyway, check it out!
i am in love with rice
